Service to America Medals

2025 Samuel J. Heyman

The Service to America Medals is an annual awards ceremony recognizing federal employees who have made a crucial breakthrough or contributed to a project that made a large impact for Americans. In 2025, I created the visual identity of the event beginning with a brand guide. After establishing the look of the night, I then created all of the physical signage including welcome posters, directional signage for crowd flow, table tents featuring QR codes to the organization’s online resources, tickets, stickers, photo booth props, seating signage, banners, the program, and tabloid sized posters of each honoree for them to take home from the event. Once all printed materials were finalized, I began the social media graphics as well as web graphics for the event’s website. I created all of these materials in the span of about 4 months using the Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign, PhotoShop, and Illustrator. I used Canva to create the social graphics, which doubled as templates for the marketing team to edit and upload to platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram and in email blasts and newsletters.
